These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for using ShotDig (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. Service Description
The App is an AI-powered scanning application that provides the following features:
- AI analysis of meal photos (dish name, calorie, and price estimation; restaurant matching)
- AI receipt reading (automatic extraction of store name, date/time, amount, and line items; category classification)
- AI business card reading (automatic extraction of name, company name, and contact information)
- Foreign language text translation
- Text extraction from documents and signs
- Document summarization
- QR code reading
- Expense analysis and calorie management features
- Cloud backup and restore features
Service content, including features, usage limits, and pricing, may be changed without prior notice.
2. Accounts and Authentication
The App can be used without account registration (guest mode). Social login via Apple ID or Google account is optional.
Users are responsible for all activities associated with their accounts. If you discover unauthorized use of your account, please contact us immediately.
3. Paid Services (Subscriptions)
The App offers a Premium Plan (monthly auto-renewing subscription).
3.1 Free Trial
- New users are granted a 7-day free trial period from the date of device registration.
- During the trial period, all features are available without limitations.
- Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
3.2 Restrictions After Trial
- Without a subscription, the dining scan feature is limited to Premium only.
- Other features are available after viewing an advertisement.
3.3 Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account or Google Play account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal fee is charged to your account within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- After purchase, you can cancel from App Store account settings (iOS) or Google Play subscription management (Android).
- Refunds after purchase are subject to the refund policy of each store.
3.4 Monthly Usage Limits
Each scan feature has a monthly usage limit. Limits vary by category. When the limit is reached, access to the relevant feature will be restricted until the following month's reset.
3.5 Changes to Pricing and Limits
Subscription pricing, usage limits, and available features may be changed due to service improvements or cost fluctuations. Please check the latest pricing within the app and on each store's product page.
4. User Obligations
When using the App, users must not engage in the following activities:
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the App
- Unauthorized access or attacks on the system
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
- Mass access using automated tools (scraping, bots, etc.)
- Acts that infringe on the rights of other users or third parties
- Use of the service with false information
- Processing illegal content using the App
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the content contained in the App (text, images, designs, software, icons, etc.) belong to us or their rightful owners.
Rights to content uploaded by users through the App (photos, etc.) belong to the users; however, users agree that we may use such content to the extent necessary for providing the service.
6. Privacy
The handling of user information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you are deemed to have also agreed to our Privacy Policy.
7. AI Analysis Results
AI analysis results provided by the App (calorie estimation, price estimation, text recognition, translation, etc.) are for reference only and their accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Calorie and nutritional information are estimates. Do not use them for medical decisions.
- Amount and accounting information are reference values. Please verify exact amounts from the original documents.
- Translation results are machine translations. If official translations are required, please consult a professional translator.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is." We make no warranties whatsoever regarding the following:
- That the App will operate without interruption or errors
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI analysis results
- Data loss resulting from the use of the App
- The availability of third-party services (Google API, AWS, etc.)
We shall not be liable for any damages (including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages) arising from the use of the App, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Account Deletion
Users may delete their account at any time from the App's settings screen. Upon account deletion, all of the following data stored on our servers will be permanently deleted:
- User authentication information
- Social login information
- Subscription information
- API usage data
- Cloud backup data
- Uploaded images
Deleted data cannot be recovered. Local data on the device will be deleted by uninstalling the App.
10. Changes to or Termination of Service
We may change, suspend, or terminate all or part of the App's services with prior notice. We shall not be liable for any damages to users resulting from the termination of the service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms as necessary. The revised Terms shall take effect upon posting on this page. If significant changes are made, we will notify you through in-app notifications.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
