This Privacy Policy describes how ShotDig (hereinafter referred to as "the App") handles user information. By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

The App handles the following information to provide its services.
1.1 Information You Provide
- Images captured by camera: Used for scanning meals, receipts, business cards, documents, etc. Images are sent to the server for AI analysis but are deleted from the server after analysis.
- Social account information (optional): If you link your Apple ID or Google account, we obtain your email address and display name.
- Backup data (optional): If you use the cloud backup feature, encrypted data is stored on the server.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: Device model name, device identifier (used as an authentication hash)
- Location information (only with permission): Used for automatic restaurant matching in meal mode.
- Advertising information: Ad SDK identifiers are used for ad delivery. Cross-app tracking is not performed unless permitted through App Tracking Transparency (ATT).
- API usage logs: Usage counts and processing times for each feature are recorded to improve service quality.
2. Purpose of Use
The collected information is used only for the following purposes.
- Providing AI image analysis features (meal analysis, receipt analysis, business card analysis, translation, text extraction, summarization)
- User authentication and account management
- Subscription management
- Providing cloud backup and restore features
- Service improvement and quality enhancement
- Usage limit management
- Ad delivery
3. Data Storage
3.1 On-Device Data
Scan results, history, and settings are all stored on your device (local database). They are not sent to the server.
3.2 Server-Side Data
Only the following data is stored on the server.

4. Data Processing and External Services
The App uses Google Gemini API for AI image analysis, translation, and text processing. Submitted image data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
In addition, external services are used as necessary for authentication, billing, data storage, ad delivery, and location search functions. All such services operate under data protection standards equivalent to this Policy.
We do not sell or share users' personal information. However, this does not apply in cases where disclosure is required by law.
5. Data Security
- All communications are protected by SSL/TLS encryption.
- Server access is protected by token-based authentication.
- Image data is deleted from the server after processing is complete.
- Backup data is stored in an encrypted state.
6. User Rights
Users have the following rights.
- Data review: You can review data stored within the app.
- Data deletion: You can delete local data at any time from the app's settings screen.
- Account deletion: You can completely delete your account from the settings screen. Upon account deletion, all data on the server (authentication information, subscription information, usage data, backup data, image data) will be permanently deleted.
- Location control: You can change location permissions at any time from your device settings.
- Rights under GDPR / CCPA: Residents of the EU/EEA and California have the right to access, correct, delete, and port their personal data.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The contents of this Policy (including the types of data collected, purposes of use, and changes to third-party services) may be revised due to changes in laws or service content. If significant changes are made, we will notify you through in-app notifications.
